I have been getting into writing recently…
…. and have been offered a publishing deal for some rhyming children’s picture books. But I feel I need more practice at general writing, because I just love it!!
Like any art form, writing is a bit like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger and more capable it becomes. So I have been writing every opportunity I get, and blogging seemed to be a good excuse to practice. I like the idea of expressing myself through words.
Record for keeps!
Loving the idea of having this record of our home schooling, very soon to be ‘road schooling ‘ life. Something we can look back on.
Also a place our loved ones can see where we are and what we are up to, without us having to send postcards every stop!!
We were part of a channel 4 documentary recently, where lots of the public judged us based on media sensationalism and not our reality. So I am super keen to show what we are really about, so people can judge the truth instead.
I live my life a bit unconventionally. Hence ‘free spirit’
I follow my heart and my gut, never logic! This enables me to live as I want and dream, not feeling confined or like I ‘should’ be anything other than I am.
This hasn’t always been the case for me, and certain people I met along the way have shown me by their example how to live more authentically.
Also, my training to become a NLP practitioner helped me dissolve my limiting beliefs and feed my starved self esteem, to help me arrive at a place where I actually feel like I am capable of doing anything!! So I’m having so much fun giving it all a go!!
I am going to share my authentic self, and hope to encourage and inspire my readers to do the same.
My life missions
Often people say they feel like they have a purpose in life. Since I can remember I have felt I was here to change things! (not alone, part of a big tribe!!)
I have always been a warrior! I spent my teens and 20’s as a animal rights and eco activist. I was angry, I could feel the pain and horror caused, and I fought as hard as I could to stop it. We had lots of success closing down farms that were breeding for vivisection, and we helped ban live exports and fox hunting (though they still get away with it)
I had to stop activism because it made me angry and bitter. My journey has led me to a place where I feel that leading with a positive example is a much healthier way for me to help create change. I found this approach worked much better at a festival I organise. I saw people change in front of my eyes, because they were being inspired in a loving way and not being preached at!
My posts will be positive, but I’m on a mission! I literally want to see a vegan planet, happy parents and kids and inspire education that brings out the child’s creativity and sense of self. All of which I know can only have an incredible knock on affect in our society.
Not an expert
Yes I have been a Mum for 20 years, and yes I’ve studied lots and have many qualifications, but I still don’t think I’m an expert! I’m just going to share stuff with you for all the reasons above. You might have other ideas. I would be more than happy to hear them. So feel free to comment. I like active posts on articles, I think it gives the reader lots of views and perspectives. There is never really a right or wrong way, just which way feels right for you. We are all so different, so our ‘ways’ reflect this.
I love opinions… go for it… speak to me!!
